Brenda Flores
Chief Operating Officer, Groff Landscapes
Brenda Flores is the Chief Operating Officer of Groff Landscapes, a design/build landscape company serving Northern Virginia. She is responsible for leading operational strategy and execution with a strong emphasis on using technology and AI-enabled systems to support scalable growth, operational clarity, and team alignment.
In her role, Brenda has led the integration of operational platforms, project and process management systems, and AI-supported tools to standardize workflows, improve communication, and create visibility across departments. These systems have supported Groff’s growth in revenue by improving labor efficiency, job performance tracking, and leadership accountability without increasing operational complexity.
Brenda specializes in translating technology into practical, repeatable operating systems. She has implemented structured training cadence rooted in technology yet straightforward enough for team members of all technical literacies, digital documentation, and data-driven performance metrics that help leadership teams and field operations make better decisions, faster. Her approach focuses on adoption and execution—ensuring technology is embedded into daily habits, training, and culture rather than operating as disconnected software.
She also leads the use of AI-assisted tools to support SOP creation, automated training standardization, and internal knowledge sharing, reducing dependency on tribal knowledge and improving consistency as the company scales. These efforts have strengthened cross-team communication, improved onboarding, and reinforced a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Prior to Groff, Brenda served as Director of Operations for a construction and remodeling company operating across multiple states, with work spanning residential, commercial, and government contracting. In that role, she supported complex operations through standardized systems, performance tracking, and technology-driven process improvements.
